Sketch Portraits — $30

  • Unlimited slots until form closes. Commissions will be completed in batches. Accepted commissioners will be contacted through email.

  • Full payment upfront. Invoices will be sent through PayPal after email confirmation.

  • 1-2 week turnaround after accepting payment.

  • Clear reference images are required. Please include: half / full-body turnaround, closeup of character's face, and any features that are not visible in default FFXIV. Additional info and /gpose guides here.

  • Commissioners will receive a high-resolution file, and also a resized file with signature for reuploading. These will be sent through email.

  • For Canadians: Please indicate on your commission form if you would prefer to pay in CAD.

If you're on the Crystal datacenter and need a blank background to take reference pictures, please feel free to use my alt's apartment! Room lights are at 0 so that you can set neutral light sources. So I can draw your beautiful characters more accurately, I would find these very helpful:

  • Closeup of face — front and/or front 3/4 view

  • Full-body pictures in neutral pose — front, back, and both side views

  • Notes / pictures about features which aren't visible on the default game model, e.g. scars

  • Colour swatches for skin, hair, eyes, etc. (optional)

  • List of gear used in glamour (optional)

If you use GShade, please use a neutral shader / toggle it off so the colours aren't distorted.Separate images are OK, but please ensure they're compiled together in an easily accessible place so I don't lose track of any files, e.g. Google Drive folder, Imgur album, etc. A full reference sheet is not required, but many FFXIV artists find them useful so you can consider making one in the future!

Terms & Conditions

By commissioning me, you agree to:

  • Send me payment through PayPal after I send you an invoice. It is your responsibility to communicate any payment issues; after a week, unpaid invoices will result in a cancelled commission and your slot will be given to someone else.

  • Use the commission for personal use only, e.g. you will not put the artwork on merch and then sell it, resell it to somebody else claiming that it is your own work, put it in monetized content without my knowledge, use it for AI training, make it an NFT, etc.

  • Keep the piece unedited unless you have my written permission. Cropping is fine, but please include credit somewhere when reposting if my signature is removed in the process.

  • Credit me if publicly reposting the commissioned artwork. Please link to this commission website or my Twitter (@morearson).

By accepting your commission, I agree to:

  • Only send an invoice (and collect payment) when I am ready to begin your commission request.

  • Finish your commission within 1-2 weeks of receiving your payment, unless a longer work period is mutually arranged beforehand. Any potential delays / issues will be communicated to you by email and/or your social media.

  • Send you all completed artwork via email. Commissions are only digital files at this time, including a high resolution file (for private use) and a smaller resized file with signature (for reposting with credit).

  • Use your personal information only for communication, collecting payment, and keeping track of who commissioned me.

  • Refund your payment if I can no longer complete your commission request. You will receive a full refund if I have not started on your piece, or a partial refund depending on my progress + the incomplete work.

Which commissions do you accept?
I am mainly focusing on Final Fantasy XIV commissions. Currently my commissions are first-come-first-serve (FCFS) unless otherwise stated. If there is a waitlist or people who reached out to me before opening a batch, I will prioritize their commissions.Can you do _____ ?
Generally, I only offer whatever is available in my current commission batch. If you have something specific in mind that is not listed as an option, feel free to send an email to [email protected] and we can discuss details.When do you usually open commissions?
I do not have regularly scheduled commission batches due to my limited availability and health issues. If there is enough demand, I will try to open up commissions more often in the future.Can I commission multiple pieces?
Yes (unless otherwise specified), but please submit separate forms when necessary so I can easily track my workload / number of slots remaining. If you submit multiple forms, I may move some of your requests later in the queue so other commissioners do not have to wait as long; this will be communicated to you ahead of time.I want to commission you, but the current options are out of my budget. What should I do?
I tend to change what types of commissions I offer over time, so there may be cheaper sketch options in the future. Please wait for other commission batches! If budget is a concern in general, please email me at [email protected] with what you can afford and I'll try to work something out that will match the proposed price. Availability for this option depends on my workload at the time.Do I have to tip?
No, tips are optional. USD can be expensive to a lot of people so I understand if adding a tip is outside your budget!
